Stage 4 – back to the roots

Snow and rock – the origins of Alpinism!

Chamonix – the Mecca of alpine climbing!

Mont Blanc range – a historical place where routes opened with Alpenstock and nails meet extreme lines climbed freely only recently!

Sounds attractive? I bet it does 🙂 This is where we’re going for the 4th stage of Mountain Academy and you can also be the part of it. Now for the details:

Between 24 June and 1 July we’re going to stay in one of the most popular climbing destinations all over the world – Mont Blanc area in France/Italy. This time we’ll make use of all the techniques we learned during previous trips with the Academy. It’s going to be a bit of everything – multipitch granite and mixed climbing, high altitude ridges, snow traverse, ice parts… On top of that we’ll hit some of those incredible lines we all read and dreamed about: Arete Kuffner on Mont Maudit, Dent du Geant and Arete de Rochefort, Bonatti route on Grand Capucin, north face of Tour Ronde, Aiguille Verte… If you mix it with possibility of using and testing state of the art clothing, gear and footwear from Mountain Hardwear, Black Diamond and AKU it sounds like a dream week we all can’t wait for 🙂

The plan is quite simple – we stay at the ‘Mer de glace’ camping site. First part of the week we acclimatize going for single day ascents. Then we try to hit something bigger and longer sleeping in the huts. All the time we’ll work hard on the digital content for you guys so stay tuned for lots of pictures, videos and memories 🙂
